Bulgarian Digital Marketing agency joins the fight against Coronavirus in the Philippines

The Philippines is identified as one of the most vulnerable countries in the world versus the novel coronavirus pandemic, the deadly virus that causes the COVID-19 disease.

As of writing, the country currently has over 600 confirmed cases of the virus. Today, March 25, the local ministry of health (Department of Health) has recorded a total of 38 deaths linked to the virus… and the number, unfortunately, continues to climb.

Fortunately, with the bad comes the good. The Philippines also had 26 recoveries ever since the cases started to ramp up in the last couple of weeks – and it’s thanks to the vigilance and dedication of its frontliners.

In a bid to show our support, Influence Vibes, a digital marketing agency based in Sofia, Bulgaria, headed by its Founder & CEO Nikolay Stoyanov and General Manager & COO Kathryn Rodriguez, pledged in donating to one of the local causes in the country.

“I’m from the Philippines, and I think that this is the opportune time to give back to my country and the place where I grew up.” said Kathryn Rodriguez, who is a Kapampangan-Filipino hailing from Angeles City, Pampanga.

“I decided to help out after seeing hundreds of Filipinos lose their livelihoods and their jobs because of the coronavirus outbreak. I think that if we can support then, we could at least minimize the impact of the virus, and let the situation return to normal at a faster rate.” added the COO.

“Influence Vibes chose to pledge its support to a cause near and dear to me, which is a fundraising and donation campaign run by my high school alumni in my alma mater, Holy Family Academy, Angeles City.” she added.

The campaign, named Ora et Labora (which is Latin for prayer and work) aims to give local frontliners a fighting chance as it gathers funds to purchase Personal Protective Equipment (PPEs) including masks, goggles, face shields, gowns, etc. and other needs including food to be donated to the Philippine General Hospital (PGH).

PGH was identified as one of the official COVID-19 referral centres of the country’s National Capital Region (NCR), and the fundraising campaign aims to supplant the current shortage of the supply of PPEs being provided to healthcare workers, especially in public hospitals.

In turn, CEO Nikolay Stoyanov urged all the Filipinos to support one another in a difficult time like this. He recalls his stay in the Philippines, saying:
“I spent more than 3 years in the Philippines, and all the people there are already family to me. They’ve treated me very well, and that’s why I think they deserve all our support and backing.”

He then urged his fellow Bulgarians and business owners from all around the globe to also lend out a helping hand for Filipinos.

“I’m calling out to the international community, as well as the Filipino community here in Bulgaria to help out during this trying time.” Nikolay Stoyanov said.
