Facebook Content Guide - Ultimate
Guide for Success

Do you have a business? Then you need to consider creating a Facebook business page. You must have guessed the reason why – the platform is ranked the “world’s most active” social media space, with daily traffic of 1.9 billion users as of July 2021. So, yes, having a strong Facebook presence is indeed beneficial for any company’s success.

Opposite to many misconceptions, setting up a business page does not require any high-tech abilities. It is actually a relatively simple and straightforward process, and it is also free of charge. All you need to do is log into your personal account, go to Pages Create, and add your company’s information. Voilà, you are done. Now, the challenging part you need to figure out is how to engage the audience and market your products and services.

If you are not sure from where to start, follow our Ultimate Guide for Success!

1. Establish your goals

Clear goals will help you determine your next steps and give you a sense of security and control.

Sit down and note what you wish to achieve with your Facebook business page. Then break it down into two sections: short-term and long-term goals. Your short-term goals are the ones you will focus on first, and the long-term goals are those you will gradually attain. Whether it is brand awareness, increased sales, or stronger engagement that you aim for, you need to provide yourself with a direction. By doing so, your goals will become clearer.

2. SWOT

SWOT analysis is the next point from the “to do” list. The abbreviation stands for Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats, and it is an effective technique used to determine a company’s overall health, vulnerabilities, and possibilities.

  • For the Strengths, you need to outline what your company does best, what are its distinctive characteristics, and what are its advantages over other organizations.
  • Weaknesses, you need to acknowledge what needs to be improved and what are the recourses you lack. Also, review your competitors and see how they market their products and services, point out what they do better.
  • When it comes to the Opportunities segment of the analysis, ask yourself is there something you haven’t achieved yet with your brand, but you wish to. Is it a partnership with a well-known influencer, a product photoshoot, or a paid marketing campaign? Think how you can start working towards that direction and what are the steps that you need to take.
  • Threats are important to list and anticipate. In this section you can include anything that can possibly hurt your business.

At the end, justify your weaknesses and threats by converting them to respectively strengths and opportunities.

By executing the analysis, you will measure and understand your heretofore performance on the market and consider how to optimize it. A detailed SWOT can expand your short and long-term goals plan and inform you how to really benefit from Facebook content.

3. Marketing strategy

Did you know that businesses that have a clear marketing strategy are 538% more likely to succeed? Wondering why? We will answer straight away – a marketing strategy is what assists you in putting your plan into action. That’s right, now that you have your goals and have justified your SWOT, you are ready to reach out to those prospects and turn them into customers.

Start by creating the pillar regarding your Facebook business page – it should include your objective, or what you desire to achieve by employing this platform, and your content ideas. Also, the ascertained number of postings per week.

Make sure your plan is realistic and aligns with your possibilities and schedule. If well-ordered, it can assist you in managing content across all social media platforms.

4. Content

Now that you have already built a strategy, it’s time for the creative bit. Having a Facebook business page is not all analytics and statistics. When it comes to the content itself, it needs to be eye-grabbing, relatable and creative. We can see nowadays that people tend to lean more with content that offers authentic relatable and informative content. The platform is already saturated with information, so you must rise above the noise.

Produce your content in a captivating way that will trigger your target audience. Your tone, style and voice should resonate with them. Be imaginative with your visuals, use eye-grabbing, but not eye-irritating images. Entertain, but also educate your audience. Pay attention to your writing. Good, fluff-free copy always wins.

Aim for balance and remember, the way you position your brand is the way your customers will see it.

5. Time for posting

If you want to be on track, you must post at the best time possible!

One way to determine the most appropriate hours for posting is Facebook Insights. This tool is situated at the top of your business page and will allow you to trace down your followers’ pattern of activity. What you will notice is that there is usually not just one good time for posting.

It always depends on the audience and the day. For instance, the universal best days + time frames are Tuesdays and Thursdays, between 8:00 am and 12:00 pm. But of course, you can experiment and see what works best for you!

Hootsuite, Sprout Social, Later, and Social Pilot are other social media monitoring devices you can employ to obtain such insights. There are many monitoring tools available for you online – some of them are even absolutely free.

Another important remark – be consistent with your schedule, and do not miss out on posting!

6. Review your analytics

Last but not least, develop the habit of regularly reviewing your page’s analytics. Facebook is one of the most targeted platforms for advertising, therefore you need to stay ahead of the game. To do so, you can once again utilize the tools mentioned above, or employ Facebook Business Manager.

This instrument will update you on your page’s progress and report how your visitors behave once they enter your online space. Having this information in hand, you can upgrade your marketing strategy and think of different ways to grow your company.

Final thoughts

Taking everything into account, it might seem overwhelming to develop and sustain a thriving Facebook business page. But once you familiarize yourself with the methods, the process will become a routine.

And hey, if you still struggle after a while, we are always a conversation away.
